Clara Kendrick 82 of Hemet, California made her heavenly transition on Monday October 1, 2018. She was born on Sunday, July 12 1936, to Simmie and Anna Dyer. Clara was married to the love of her life Ralph Kendrick Sr. for over 55 years before his transition in March of 2010. Clara cared for their three children Ralph, Barbara, and Arthur. She was the rock of their family. Clara loved a good bargain and would shop at the swap meet and the good will. Her mantra was “Every purchase could be negotiated”. Her hobbies included caring for her many house plants which she nurtured and loved. She collected clocks and would chose them based on their design, beauty, and workmanship. If you wanted to negotiate something with her she could be easily swayed buy her favorite desert vanilla ice cream. She was friendly to all who encountered her and had a beautiful smile. Clara’s charm came from her southern upbringing.
She will be missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly. Proceeded in transition was her husband Ralph Kendrick Sr.; Son, Ralph Kendrick Jr. (Wife Carol Kendrick and their son Jermaine). She is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Holly (Johnell), Son Arthur Kendrick; Sisters Bonnie Allen and Juilia Mae Green; Grand Children Ralph Kendrick III, Sharmaine Kendrick, Prince Kendrick, Natasha Dietz, and Nicole Vili; Great Grandchildren, Ralph Kendrick IV , Kaleia Dietz, Asenia Vili and Kainoa Dietz. A graveside Service and interment will be at Santa Ana Cemetery, 1919 E. Santa Clara Ave, Santa Ana, Ca 92705 on October 20, 2018 pm. In lieu of flowers , the family is requesting a donation be made in Clara’s name to the Susan G Komen Foundation in support of breast cancer research.
