Muriel Enid (Schwager) Bryant, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2018 at home in Chino Hills, CA.
Muriel was born on March 31, 1924 in Newman Grove, NE to her parents, John and Helen Schwager. After High School, Muriel was a teacher for a small country schoolhouse. After teaching for a few years she decided to go to San Pedro, CA and work as a ship inspector at the Naval Shipyard. From there she decided to move to Ridgecrest, CA and went to work for the US Government at China Lake Naval Weapons Station where she stayed and worked in Contract Management until she retired from Civil Service in 1980.
Muriel is survived by her husband James Bryant of Chino Hills, CA; her sister Shirley Sima of Chino Hills, CA; her daughter and son inlaw, Linda (Bryant) and Kevin Henry of Ontario, CA; her 2 sons and daughter inlaws, Terry and Denise Attkisson of Maricopa, AZ; Larry and Barbara Attkisson of Thousand Oaks, CA; nine grandchildren Angie (Attkisson) Hawk, Corey Attkisson, Travis Attkisson, Scott Attkisson, David Attkisson, Michael Attkisson, Paul Attkisson, Kate (Henry) Moncrief, and Tyler Henry; eight great grandchildren Trapper Hawk, Austin Attkisson, Danielle Attkisson, Riley Attkisson, Thacher Attkisson, Clifford Moncrief, Merritt Moncrief, and Abigail Attkisson.
Muriel was preceded in death by her first husband Edwin Attkisson; both of her parents; her brother Howard; Schwager and sisters; Alta Mae Rieck and Lucille Herbert as well as a great grand-daughter; Shelby Attkisson.
Muriel loved traveling in the RV with her husband James, bowling, golfing, and playing games. She also volunteered on Crime Watch while living in Sun City and helped as an Usher at church. Muriel was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grand children, and great grand-children.
