Rita George, 83 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Fairwinds Retirement Community in Fresno, California. She was born Wednesday, December 5, 1934 in Harvey, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late William and Alvina ( Wildman ) Brown. Rita was married to the love of her life, Charles George for over 60 years before his passing in April 2016. Rita was very loving and caring. She loved to plan and have family get togethers. Rita and Charles would take the kids to Newport Beach to enjoy the ocean. Rita liked to sew , crochet, cook and garden. Her faith was very important to her and she was an active member of Our Lady of the Valley and Holy Spirit for many years. Rita and Charles lived in Hemet for over 44 years. She worked for the city of Riverside for over 20 years. She will be missed by those who loved and cared for her. Surviving are sons, William George ( Rebecca ); Charles George and Robert George ( Gayle ); daughters, Susan Switzer ( John ); Carol Ann George and Camille Mollard (Kevin); 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday October 29, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery located at 3510 E. Washington St. Colton, California 92324.
