73 years old, passed away Nov. 23, 2018 in Moreno Valley, CA. Born on April 27, 1945 in Albuquerque, New
Mexico to Dudley and Dolores Budlong. Spent most of his childhood growing up in San Fernando Valley. Went to Granada Hills High School, graduated 1963. Highest education Masters Degree at Chico State College in Geography. Gerald's career begun working at his father's engineering company Budlong and Associates as an Engineering Clerk. He went on to be a Staff Geographer at Dames & Moore in Cincinnati, and Park Ridge, Illinois. Later on to Inyo County Planning Department as an Associate Planner. From 1986 to 1996 he worked as n Staff Environment Planner at Tetra Tech, Inc. There he worked on a variety of government projects including nuclear power plants, air force and navy base expansions and closures, ICBM missile modernization program, DOE nuclear weapons complex modernization and reuse program, etc. After Tetra Tech Gerald would work at several other places until he settled as an Associate Planner at the City of San Bernardino. He would also teach Geography at Mt. San Jacinto College. Civic Activities including: Moreno Valley Environmental & Historical Preservation Board, EMWD Citizen Advisory Committee, Community Co-Chair MAFB RAB, and Moreno Valley Planning Commissioner. He is survived by wife Lillian; sons Michael and David, brothers Bruce and Steve. Viewing will be held December 1st, 2018 12-2pm, service 2pm.
