Obituary for
Ruby Tetirick
Ruby Tetirick, lately of Murrieta, California, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter on September 20, 2016. Ruby was born on July 2, 1930 in North Carolina to Jesse Lee and Annie Lou King. She was later joined by beloved sisters Mildred and Brenda, who miss her now.
She married Jim Tetirick, the love of her life, in 1956 and enjoyed the travel that came as an Air Force officer's wife. At one point she managed to shepherd their three children, all under the age of 5 years old, from Ohio to Turkey where he was stationed. He said she arrived looking "wild-eyed but triumphant".
Ruby loved her family, loved travel and adventure, and where she couldn't travel in body, she traveled through reading. She was strong, brave, fiercely loyal, smart and funny. She enjoyed her volunteer work, and did it willingly and to the best of her ability.
She is survived by daughters Tamara O'Neal (Tracy) and Lisa Tetirick-Pumerantz, a son Ted Tetirick (Paty), six grandchildren, sisters Mildred Smith (Roy) and Brenda Craft (Tommy), as well as a grand company of nieces, nephews and extended family. All were greatly loved and admired by Ruby during her lifetime.
Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, where she will join her beloved Jimmie.
