Where do I begin...my 54 years of being your daughter have been incredible. Thank you for bringing me into this world. You and dad have given Ted and I so much love and emotional support through out our entire lives. Words cannot express the gratitude of growing up in such a loving home. You taught me so much and always wanted the best for Ted and I. My heart is hurting knowing I will not have you in my day to day life, but know you will always be in my heart! Watching you slip away to such a cruel disease that took over most of your mind and body was agonizing! At the end you were "existing" not "living". Quality of life is everything! Mom you were a strong and beautiful lady. You were not only my parent,you were also my friend...I will miss you everyday !
Thank you for your unconditional love and guidance thru out my life. We had alot of great times, didn't we?. Some of the little things mean't the most. Going out to dinner on a whim, dropping off gifts to each other on any given day. Stopping by after work for a visit.Mom, you and dad were fortunate to have each other for over 61 years. Dad was by your side caring for you 24/7 for over a year right to the end. He is one special man and I am so proud he is my dad! He will always have Ted and I by his side. We will miss your traditional reading of "Twas the night before x-mas" on Christmas Eve. I was privileged to be your daughter.....my guardian angel you will be, until we meet up again.

I did not know you…I never even met you. Yet I still know you were an amazing woman. How do I know this you may wonder…simply because I know Ted. He is gracious and humble, and has a high level of integrity. Only an awesome mother could have raised him. You did well!

Condolence: Memaw, you were always there... always available to take care of us when mom and dad were working. Always there with love and hugs and baby powder and comfort food. You were always in the kitchen working so hard during the holidays being the best matron of the family fulfilling what you considered your duties-- they never went unnoticed or unappreciated. You were always there with fun story books to read to us and beautiful photos of your travels. You were always there with popsicles on hot days and soft, cozy blankets on cold days. You were always there with cute sentimental gifts and creative poems and letters. All of your grandmotherly blessings will never be forgotten because no one will ever be here with these loves again the way you were. You will always be sorely missed Memaw, but our love for you will forever keep your blessings and memory alive in our hearts.

Condolence: Memaw, you brought so much joy and love into my life. Thank you for all that you taught me. I do things everyday and think about you because you showed me how to do so many things. I cannot imagine how my childhood would have been if I didn't have the blessing of having you and Poppie so close. I will cherish all of the beautiful memories of you for the rest of my life. Thank you for taking so many pictures and writing everything down, you always said, "one day these pictures are going to be important to you" and now I know what you mean. Poppie, thank you for loving Memaw so well. She deserved the best and that is who she got. You and Memaw have set such a beautiful example of what love should be. You truly cared for her up until the day she left her earthly body, she was the luckiest woman on earth to have you by her side, and she knew that.
