Life Story for Ronnie Gary Ward

Ronnie Gary Ward
Ronnie G. Ward

Ronnie Gary Ward, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend entered into eternal life on May 23rd 2018 due to complications from his long struggle with diabetes. Ronnie was born on March 9th 1968 at St Joseph’s hospital in Orange California to Alvin and Virginia Ward. He is the twin brother to Donnie Perry Ward who preceded him in death on April 6th 1995.
Ronnie, also affectionately called Dip by his close friends, attended Lincoln Elementary, Spurgeon Junior High and Valley High schools in Santa Ana Ca. Ronnie was often bored with school and it was later determined that his boredom was the result of being gifted with an exceptionally high IQ., as a result he was that fidgety kid that would ask the questions which some instructors would struggle to answer. He was very curios by nature, he would take things apart just to learn how they worked, modify them in a way that made sense to him and put them back together.
As Ronnie moved on in life he would become known as a jack of all trades, anything with a motor he could re-build, operate, drive or repair. He was a lyricist who could throw down rap bars with the best them, or as a comedian he could hold court with the greatest icons of comedy. However in the end it was scripture that he found a real fascination and passion for. He could recite scripture with the full understanding of its meaning yet find questions to ask that would send the most learned and accomplished theologian back to school for answers. And as he would go about his life, living it his way, scripture was always the calming force that brought him peace, comfort, balance and purpose.
Along with his brother Donnie, Ronnie is preceded in death by Brother, Alfred Ray, Sister Staci Robin, and father Alvin Ward Jr... He is survived by his Mother; Virginia Ward, Son; Jordan Alvin Ward, Daughters; Iyana Thomas, Ronni Nicole Ward and Syliaa Jones, Six Grandkids; Landon, Liam, Ah-Miya, Shariff, Sisters; Alvina (Alfie) Davison, Cammella (Cammie) Ward, Brothers; Brinkley (Brink) Ward, Roderick (Rick) Ward, Sisters in law, Linda (Brink) and Rochelle (Rick) Ward. , Nephew; Sean Davison Sr. Nieces; Rosalyn Johnson; Jasmin Ward, Mykaela Ward, Darrielle Muhammad, Mykenzie Ward, Daynae Booth, Duane Connor Jr., Donavon Connor, D’auna Connor, Donnie Ward Jr. and Noelle Ward. There are many more great nephews, nieces’ aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family throughout the country.
“If Ronnie couldn’t make you laugh, you better get yourself checked out because your funny bone may be broken”.
