Micaela Saldivar Torres
Micaela Saldivar Torres, 96 of Nuevo, California, passed on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home with her family at her side. Micaela was born on Monday, May 8, 1922 in Watts, California. She was the daughter of the late Jose Saldivar and the late Margarita Gordillo Saldivar born in Mexico. she was preceded in death by her late husband Ladislao Mendez Torres.
She became a member of St. James Catholic Church in 1958 when she moved to Nuevo, California.
Surviving are Children, Teresa Swegheimer, Margaret Hillard, Rosie Grindle, Jose Luis Torres, Michael George Torres and Frank Charles Torres. 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Miller-Jones Mortuary - Perris, 1835 N Perris Blvd., Perris, California. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. James The Less Catholic Church, located at 269 West Third St. Perris, California 92570. A committal service will be in Perris Valley Cemetery, 915 N. Perris Blvd. Perris, California 92571, on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:30pm.
