Obituary for
Jeanette Cunningham
Jeanette Cunningham was born here in America during the mid-1920's to Scottish immigrant parents. Her childhood years were spent in Huntington Park, CA. In 1949, she met and married James (Jim) W. Cunningham. Two daughters named Jill and Jana were born into the family. Their first home was purchased in Downey, CA, where they raised both girls. During those years, both Jim and Jeanette accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and were active members of the First Christian Church, Downey, CA. Jeanette's focus during those years were her responsibilities as wife and mother.
After the girls were grown, she accepted jobs at Thermador-Waste King and the Temecula School District. She spent the last 2 years of her life living at Inland Christian Home in Ontario, CA, near where her youngest daughter resides with her family. She is survived by both both daughters and their husbands, Jill and Steve Hammer and Jana and Hector Arrieta, 4 grandchildren (Angela Butler, Bethany Ruddock, Ryan Arrieta, Christina Gomez), 7 great grandchildren (Steven, Daniel, Joshua, Ashlynn, Levi, Isaac, and Holly), her elder sister, Isabel Seeger, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held first at 10:01 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Please arrive 15 minutes early and gather at Staging Area #5. Address is Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., after the graveside service, at Pathway Christian Church, 6755 Victoria Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506.
